India SEO Community (“we”, “us”, “our”) runs indiaseocommunity.com, a site built for SEO professionals in India to learn from each other, share real case studies, and find each other. This page explains what information we collect, why we collect it, and what you can do about it.
Information we collect
We collect information in a few different ways, depending on how you use the site.
When you fill out a form. If you use the Contact page, submit a case study, apply to be listed, or subscribe to the newsletter, we collect what you type into that form, typically your name, email address, LinkedIn profile URL, and your message.
When you are part of the community directory. The homepage features a directory of community members drawn from people connected to India SEO Community on LinkedIn. For each person, we display a name, a public profile photo, and a short professional title, all sourced from public LinkedIn profile information. If you would rather not appear in this directory, contact us and we will remove your listing.
Automatically, when you visit the site. Like most websites, we collect basic technical information, your IP address, browser type, device type, and which pages you visit, mainly through server logs, caching, and any analytics tools we use to understand traffic.
How we use this information
We use it to run the site, respond to whatever you have written in to ask about, send newsletters to people who signed up for them, decide what content to feature, and keep the site working and reasonably fast.
We do not use your data to build an advertising profile, and we do not sell it.
Cookies
The site uses a small number of cookies for basic functions like caching pages so they load faster, and for embedded content from LinkedIn and X. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; some parts of the site, like embedded posts, may not work as well if you do.
Who we share information with
We do not sell your personal information to anyone. We share it only with the service providers that keep the site running, our hosting provider, our email delivery service, and similar tools, and only to the extent needed for them to do their job. We may also share information if we are legally required to.
How long we keep it
We keep contact form submissions and newsletter subscriptions for as long as they are useful to us, generally no more than a few years, unless you ask us to delete them sooner. Directory listings stay up until the person asks to be removed.
Your rights
You can ask us to tell you what information we hold about you, correct it, or delete it. If you are in India, the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 gives you these rights directly. If you are elsewhere, we will still do our best to honor the same request. To ask, use the Contact page.
You can unsubscribe from the newsletter any time using the link at the bottom of any email we send.
Children
This site is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
Changes to this policy
We will update this page when our practices change, and update the date at the top when we do.
